We spent about 5 days at the cottage last week, basically just getting it set up for later in the summer when we plan to be up for 2 weeks. As is the custom, we put peanuts out for the wildlife. As you will see, the chipmunks are extra friendly this year.

When we were kids, my brother Bob used to put peanuts on top of his head. The chipmunks used to run over to him, climb up his jeans, up his t-shirt, up onto his head and then retrieve the peanuts.
I still remember the time that Bob was outside in the summer, wearing shorts, when a chipmunk decided to see if Bob had a peanut on his head that day (he did not, in fact). But the chipmunk did his best to climb up Bob's bare leg. Ouch!
Excellent! I'll have to try that on the next cottage trip. I'll just make sure I am wearing long sleeves and pants.
